Astromat Workshop at MetSoc24
Join us for a collaborative workshop in conjunction with MetSoc24 on the evening of July 29th. This workshop is free and open to all that are interested in or work with astromaterials sample data, including meteorites. Dinner and drinks will be provided.

Time: ~5:30 PM – 9:00 PM (starting after MetSoc sessions end)
Location: The Hotel Brussels, 26th floor “MEET 26 THREE”, Boulevard de Waterloo 38, 1000 Brussels
(~15-minute walk down Boulevard de Waterloo from the MetSoc24 venue)

- Demo: How to submit data to Astromat
- Discussion: How can Astromat ease the burden of data archiving? What can we do better?

- Demo: Using the Astromat Synthesis to access an ocean of astromaterials samples data
- Discussion: What are the scientific questions that the Astromat Synthesis can help answer? What interfaces are needed for the synthesis to fulfill such promises?
- Presentation: Astromaterials samples images as part of the Data Ecosystem (Josh Einsle)
- Discussion: What are the best ways to integrate images into Astromat?
